Better to know these up front than to find out halfway through.
- Private, unlisted-to-you, age-restricted or region-locked videos cannot be fetched. No bypass is attempted and none is offered.
- Availability is entirely YouTube's. If a video is deleted, or blocked in your region, we cannot produce it.
- Very long videos are rejected once the finished file passes the size limit, which is set per deployment.
- Live streams that are still running are not downloadable — only the completed video, once the stream has ended.

- YouTube answers anonymous requests slowly and sometimes not at all. This is YouTube throttling us, not a problem with your link.

- Wait it out — we retry a few times before giving up. A video that fails after several minutes is usually genuinely unavailable.
A quality you expected is missing
- Why
- YouTube publishes different renditions per video. A low-view upload may only exist at 480p, and some videos have no audio-only track at all.
- What to do
- Work with what is listed. The quality list reflects that specific video, not a fixed menu.
It says the video cannot be accessed
- Why
- The video is private, unlisted, age-restricted, or blocked in your region. None of those are reachable without an account.
- What to do
- Check the video opens for you in a signed-out browser window. If it does not open there, it will not download here either.
Common questions
There is no watermark to remove. YouTube does not overlay branding on the video file it publishes, so what you download is the clean original. Nothing is added by us either.
